Our wonderful get together for lunch today at the Suburban House Restaurant was a huge success. There were two people with us not on the list.. One was Emily Medvec from Sante Fe who called yesterday asking for the address of the restaurant.
This delightful white bear, a bunch of candy, including M&M's and a bouquet of balloons were waiting at our table when I arrived about 11:30AM. Even though Emily could not be with us in person...she was definitely with us. Thank you Emily!!

Marti was fantastic to work with for my book cover...and now I can almost touch it! The books are being shipped from the printer soon and we hope to have them for signing and shipping just in time for the holiday rush.

He really knows how to put you at ease, That Interview Guy. Michael Krisa had set up an interview for yesterday morning, but a snowstorm changed his plans with a power outage (he's in Ontario, Canada.) That gave him a chance to get some wonderful snow photos - like the one at left.  Later in the day, when we got the interview in, I remembered that Michael is a natural at leading a conversation and making it fun.
Michael reminded me that we met years ago. Since then he's learned about the Type E personality, and so he understands me. … (19 comments)

We have used numbers before in posts here - my favorite number 944, 10,000 members, 100,000 points, and so forth. Seems as if today numbers are everywhere I look. This photo of a flower with six petals was taken at 5 Wake Forest Court Catonsville, Maryland 21228.

My friend Peg and I sat by the window for lunch in a restaurant overlooking Columbia's largest lake. It was a perfect afternoon, gentle breeze, and sun flickering through the trees. As we ate, we noticed a young couple arrive and settle on a bench, obviously very much in love. With them came two men, one with a video camera and the other with a still camera with a lens more than a foot long – obviously a pro. Throughout our lunch they talked, posed, and hugged each other.
