Many years ago I wrote a blog post on ActiveRain about a special Open House I was looking for a way to get traffic to one my listings. The blog describing that event was picked up by the Washington Post.. Read here.

Check out the ActiveRain Contest. Just today I had an agent tell me I "better" take his offer because this property will"never" sell at the listing price. His " non written offer'' was an email for a low price and a rent to own. I suggested he put in a formal offer if he wanted it presented.
When someone says it can't be done...please get out of my way.
This reminded me of examples others said I could or should not do. Here are a few:

Keeping sign riders in my car allow for an open house at any time. When I have a scheduled showing on one of my listings or if I stop and visit with my seller, I am prepared to do an impromptu open house.
Did you notice how I use my car's front and back windshield to attract visitors coming and going.
The open house 'balloon' sign, above, is made of cardboard... much safer than driving around with helium balloons and they never need air.

3738 Bixler Church Road Impromptu Open House 1-2 PM TODAY! I have an unusual situation but exciting in today's market. It is my listing and I have interest from several buyers so I am holding an impromptu open house and everyone is invited. The sellers are aware. it's in the MLS as open as well as on Craig's List.
I have two showings scheduled so while at the home, I will have it OPEN from 1-2 PM
