peg silloway: Busy In Baltimore And Beautiful Weather - 02/23/17 06:21 PM
Wonderfully busy day starting with negotiations on one of my favorite unique homes.
What a beautiful day in Baltimore and the temperature hit  77 degrees and the date is
February 23, 2017.
Taking advantage of the weather and a special friend, we took a ride to DC and spent the afternoon at
The Arlington National Cemetery.
Have you visited this sacred shrine?

There have been many blogs about my very special friend Peg Silloway and this week we are catching up in person.

peg silloway: Saying Farewell to a Best Friend! - 06/26/11 04:55 PM
Saying Farewell to a Best Friend!

Anyone who knows me has read about my friend, mentor, publisher and confidant...Peg Silloway.

We have known each other for well over 20 years. We met at NAWBO -National Association of Women's Business Owners- back when I was a porcelain artist and she was a CPA. We liked each other from the beginning.
Over time we changed places...career wise. Peg went back into the arts, doing stained glass and then writing and you all know I went into real estate...HomeRome Realty.
I don't think we have missed getting together, one day each month, in the … (29 comments)

Well Done Dunn!  Dianne Is On the Cover!
How exciting to see the cover of a magazine with a very special friend!
Take a look at this month's issue of The Residential Specialist and you will see my friend Dianne Dunn on the cover, on page 1 and again on page 21!
Diane is not just a pretty face. She has 34 years of real estate, is a broker/owner, a fellow CyberStar, a mentor and coach to many. This past year Dianne authored a book and  had it published by Peg Silloway ...my friend and publisher of Real Estate the Rome … (2 comments)

peg silloway: Black, White, Yellow, Red and One for Peg! ACC Baltimore Craft Show! - 02/25/11 04:05 PM
For over 30 years the annual American Craft Council Show has been in Baltimore! American Craft Council Show Will Be in Baltimore This Weekend! February 24-27th
As a former ceramic artist, I am not sure if I have missed an ACC show. Over the years I have gone with my friend and publisher Peg Silloway. Today was even more special. Peg's baby sister, Kathleen, joined us...and did we have fun!
Take a look at this hat marathon.
Sometimes it really pays to be the picture taker rather than the subject. This was at the end of our day. All of … (21 comments)

peg silloway: The Muse Medallion goes to Peg Silloway, My Publisher, My Friend! - 11/28/10 09:53 PM
My friend and publisher, Peg Silloway just won "The Muse Medallion".  You can read more about it on her post It's Happened Again

In Peg's words:"A week ago I sat in the ballroom at the Crowne Plaza and listened as the big names in the group and in media won awards for writing in magazines and columns, for audio, for broadcasting, for photographs and illustrations, and for a variety of books. Then it was the Gift Book category - my category. As the judge's comments were read I held my breath and my husband's hand as she concluded,

peg silloway: Books and Blue Sky in Baltimore, MD - 09/28/09 03:31 PM
I watched the hourly weather the night before, and the forecast was rain all the way through 1:00 p.m., then sunshine and only a 10% chance of precipitation. Would the book signing, we had scheduled from 2:00 to 3:00 last Friday, be soggy or bright?
The day turned out to be one of those absolutely glorious gems, cool but sunny, no longer summer, but not quite fall either. A perfect day, and well deserved after last year's "Liquid Sunshine."  The planned book signing of  Real Estate the Rome Way  was scheduled for an hour at 2:00.  That hour turned into four, did not leave … (17 comments)

Give and Take...Do you know how to do both? Baltimore,Maryland
I learned a lot at Monday's Three Divas for Free event. The plan was for Fran Thorsen, Joeann Fossland, and me to do an interactive panel together. Our plans changed when Joeann got a call that Fran would not be able to attend. Thrown off guard but not for long, Joeann was talking with Bernice Ross and told her about the dilemma. Giving person that she is, Bernice asked if Joeann would like her to stay over and go to Baltimore to fill in? She had a new presentation, and Baltimore … (19 comments)

peg silloway: Leaving No Blogger Behind in the Rain - 07/11/08 05:59 AM

It started with this post by Frances Flynn Thorsen:  FREE Webinar -No Blogger Left Behind Breakout Session Spotlights ActiveRain. Even better, Fran and Joeann Fossland asked me to join them as a panelist. Naturally I said, "Yes!" and figured I'd have some time before the webinar to prepare. And then my day got busy . A listing. A settlement. It was a successful day but looong, and it all added up to me getting home just a few minutes after 6:00 pm. Whew! Caught my breath and logged on just as they resolved some minor connectivity issues. Good thing I … (35 comments)

peg silloway: The Margaret, Peg, Matt, and Caleb Show! - 09/17/06 02:15 PM
It was raining in Baltimore today. The sky was a clear delft blue, but in the studio at WCBM radio, we had ActiveRain for close to an hour.First Matt Heaton called in to talk about creating this fabulous community of some 5,500 real estate professionals. And then Caleb Mardini called and spoke about the future of this community that empowers the very people who drive the industry. And then we had them both on the line at the same time! There were other callers – Zippy who wanted to know the difference between an appraised value and asking price, and Max who … (6 comments)
