roses: What's In Your Camera Tonight? - 08/06/11 10:20 PM

I was getting ready to write my post for the day. Looked in my camera to see what story I could make from the day's photos. Was only able to upload two..and then received a "bad gateway message".
Oops, I thought it was in DRAFT...not so because I got a  comment form Virginia Dean, waiting for the story. Another from Martha Brown also waiting, and Georgina thinking I had an enchanted evening.

Actually, I just finished arranging this dozen of  beautiful roses and snapped the photo.

roses: It Did Not Smell Like Roses!! - 08/01/11 11:35 PM

Yesterday I went out with "Future Sellers". Most of you call these clients buyers. Being a listing agent, there is no way I would encourage a buyer to purchase a property that I would not be proud to list in the future. Hence...I only work with future sellers.
I had appointments set up pretty quickly with our Centralized Showing Service. All of them scheduled between 1-3 PM. The second property, I used my Sentri card to obtain the key from the Lockbox, opened the door and the husband went in first. He came back coughing and gagging. My brilliant … (72 comments)

roses: Erica Brought Roses for Daddy ...and He Loved Them! - 06/21/11 10:18 PM
Usually  TLH, The Lovely Husband  brings home the flowers, but not this time. It was Father's day and our daughter, Erica, knowing how much her dad likes roses... brought over two dozen long stemmed roses. I arranged them both in short vases. Lee loved them! The red ones are on the coffee table right in front of his favorite TV watching spot.

The red roses look pretty all alone.

The white roses look great with my porcelain bowl made many years ago.

roses: Time To Arrange the Roses Again. - 03/06/11 11:53 AM

TLH brought home roses this afternoon. They looked quite pretty in the kitchen sink but I knew I couldn't leave them there much longer.

Just finished arranging them into vases. That's more than enough work for today. A couple photos and that will be my post for today.
I never get tired of writing about my special gift of  flowers.

roses: Beauty Inside...With Outside Temperatures in the Teens - 01/23/11 10:44 PM
I was planning to write another blog about my busy weekend and all the showings in the last two days but Lee was appreciating  the newest arrangement. This was in the middle of the football game. So of course I went in to take a look.
Another bunch of those beautiful flowers that Are Not Roses But They Still Smell Good!
He did it again a few days ago. TLH came home with more flowers. Enjoying the last ones so much and being in the middle of our chilly winter season with temperatures in the teens and low twenties, what a … (15 comments)

roses: They Are Not Roses But They Still Smell Good! - 01/15/11 10:26 PM
Stop and smell the Oriental Lilies does not have quite the same ring....as the familiar, "..take time to smell the roses."
But when TLH brings home flowers, it is a treat and arranging and photographing is a fun break from real estate. This may be a first for the Oriental Lily, quite pretty and a lovely fragrance.

This is not the first and probably not the last time I will be writing about flowers...check out a few others like, this "Twofer" … (18 comments)

roses: One Bunch of Flowers produced a "Twofer" - 11/27/10 11:14 PM
It all starts with a big bunch of flowers brought home by TLH! Too many colors, too many different flowers..how to arrange them...hmmm.

Here's the bunch of flowers in the kitchen sink.

Took all the various colors and made my first flower arrangement.

roses: A Rose by Any Other Name...... - 10/31/10 06:23 PM
Some can even disagree on flowers.
Not too long ago I wrote a post about some pretty flowers and thought  No One Will Disagree With Me On This Subject!
But a couple of commenters let me yellow was not their favorite color. In fact Russel Ray even talked about two stray yellow roses in his garden, He found them  a nuisance and even with weed spray,  could not kill them. I called and suggested he clip those two roses and make a present to someone who might enjoy them. And do it each time those annoying flowers bloomed. Now I wonder if he ever did … (17 comments)

roses: No One Will Disagree With Me On This Subject! - 10/23/10 11:49 PM
Today I received flowers and  I bet  no one will disagree... they are just beautiful. The arrangement looks  good on my coffee table. He Did it Again! I love them both... the roses and TLH!

But yesterday's post about my print advertising did not have everyone agreeing. Take a look...within 24 hours, there were 75 comments on this feature   So forget print advertising ?.... NOT at this time.
Phil Faranda made this comment.. "Margaret- do what works. If I got results from hiring a town crier or taping my card to the inside of men's room stalls, I'd do it.If … (17 comments)

roses: He Did it Again! I love them both... the roses and TLH! - 08/30/10 02:08 PM

He did it again!  I love them both... the roses and TLH!
He Did it Again! TLH, The Lovely Husband, also known as My Best Close Ever and Forever, came home with a delightful bunch of roses.
They were not this color This is a Baltimore Sky...not one in Arizona
They were not  Green With Envy...Time to Smell the Roses
They were different colors... all very pretty... you can see the entire bunch right in my kitchen sink.

I could have made one spectacular bouquet with the entire bunch but decided to split them in different vases.

Green with Envy…Time to Smell the Roses

You might be green with envy when you see these stunning roses that TLH (The Lovely Husband) brought home to me the other day. While arranging them, I was really intrigued by the color. Have you ever seen green roses before? It has taken me a few days to get around to photographing them, hence they are not quite as fresh and perky as they were. These photos are untouched - look at  the contrast to the small white flowers. Yes, they really are green and they are really pretty!

roses: This is a Baltimore Sky...not one in Arizona - 11/17/09 06:04 PM
This is a Baltimore sky...not one in Arizona.
It was a wonderfully busy Sunday; met with new clients, took a listing, showed a couple of properties, along with the emails, phone calls and just everyday life. On the way home, I stopped for a few needed things at the store.

Instead of stopping to smell the roses, I bought some. This color was calling my name - so pretty and so unlike all the others in their shades of reds and pinks. I walked out of store looking forward to going home. But then I was struck by the beauty of the sky. … (21 comments)
