Falling in Love Is Wonderful! A couple of days ago, Seth Godin wrote a blog about buying a house. He called it "How to Buy a House" and started it off with, "Actually, how to think about buying a house." He went on to talk about the "…enormous social pressure and the expectations that come with…." being in the market for a house, and gave some great advice to people thinking about buying.

Remember the game we've all played where one person whispers something to another and that person whispers the message to another? By the time it gets through half a dozen people or more, the end version is nothing like the original. Jeanean's post yesterday, Seth Godin Says the Individual Blog is Dead! and the more than 75 comments show that this same thing happens in blogging. I am absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity, enthusiasm, and support of all the Rainers who have reached out by email and phone and I think even mental telepathy to marketing guru Seth Godin on my behalf. He has great ideas, he writes great blogs, and he's one of the best of this great online community. And now he's the winner of my "What are the Chances Seth Godin Will Review My Book?" contest.

Sharon and Missy and Colleen have talked about marketing guru Seth Godin's newest book, Tribes. In a series of innovative and gutsy marketing moves, first he invited people to join a new networking site called Triiibes if they would preorder his book. Then, before the book was officially published, he sent a free copy to everyone who had ordered and paid for a book.
