Whenever I receive a note from one of my wonderful buyers or sellers, I like to share, just like I did yesterday.
It makes you realize that appreciation goes both ways.

This is a concept I like to share with newer agents. My Lee used to refer to these thankyou notes as my kind of paycheck. I have found that once those notes of appreciation start coming in, the actual paycheck, in the form of referrals, is not far behind.

My special friend is a gardener, a gourmet cook, a vegetarian, an animal lover, a collector of fine antiques, a spiritual healer, a loving wife, a caring giving person and a photographer.

Above are a few of Alma's original photographs that she makes into gifts cards.
Alma spends hours each week sending others these individual cards...others that have special needs, have an illness, maybe just someone who is lonely that gets joy from this almost lost art of handwriting.

One of the callers from my radio show wanted to sell a property in Ocean City and he wanted me to be his agent.
Sorry but not possible since Ocean City is over 100 miles away. He was not pleased with any of his past agents and wanted me to come down to the ocean.
I did the next best thing by calling a special ActiveRain member, Kathy Opatka
who was a delight and very helpful. She referred me to another agent who was more familiar with this particular property.

Last month we had a wonderful
Baltimore ActiveRain MeetUp With An Open House.
There was a great turnout and I called to thank each one for attending.

There are other ways to say Thank You.
Alan Gross has a really nice way.... just look at the card above. He took the picture of my listing , the AR logo, wrote a thank you note and sent it via snail mail. It took a bit more time and effort than a phone call.

It Was Only One Little Tiny Number...but a very important number. This morning I received the following email from Cheryl Ritchie the Golden Result's Gal. " Fix incorrect phone number...2400 not 2500" Cheryl attached a screen shot that looks like the one below except the one she sent had the wrong phone number. Not just a simple error...that incorrect number was now on every one of my posts. And I am not sure how long that wrong number was visible. Thank you! Thank you big time! This morning I received a call from Bev, a long time friend and client, asking for advice. She was concerned about a family member that she could not find. The last she heard from her 89 year old uncle was news about a broken hip. All communications were lost and she didn't know where to turn. She feared the worse.
After a couple of questions, I found out the uncle was in California and she had an address.
