Speaking of very special friends who are also clients, my day was made when this message arrived. And that's how the letter began:
"Well, we did it again, eh? And when I say we, I mean you, of course, as our involvement was little more than signing our name a few times. Oh, and having the good sense to say, “Time to move again! Call Margaret…” They say everything gets easier with practice, and this, our SIXTH transaction in 7 years, certainly proves that. I have been fortunate to work with clients that I like and respect. As most of you know, I love this whirlwind life of real estate. I love the challenges of unique properties and I love getting things done. I am a listing agent but occasionally will get a request (from a friend or colleague) to take on special buyers like Winnie and Joseph. In town only for a few days, we needed to find a home for the end of July. We saw the house Monday night, wrote a winning offer and had the home inspection this morning. Mission accomplished
This is the beautiful note received today after our home inspection.
Below is the note I received after our dinner this past weekend.
"Sadly, the time had come for me and my sister to sell the house where we had shared a deep rooted bond with our parents. This was more than a piece of real estate-it was our home-our sanctuary-a special dwelling filled with much love and countless happy memories. The Best Paycheck Is A Letter of Appreciation. . About ten days ago I wrote a cute post that received a whole lot of comments. How many is a lot? Over 100! Noticing that Mary Stewart made the 100th comment, I dialed her number. "Congratulations. You just won a copy of Real Estate the Rome Way ,,, Where should I send it?'' We had a lovely chat and I got to know another AR member a bit better.
Just look at the hand written that arrived in the mail...the real mail that the Letter Carrier brings and puts in a mail box at your house. How novel! Once again … (21 comments)
