Sharing a note of appreciation from earlier in the year. Note: Not all transactions are as smooth as silk. This letter proves the point.

They were clients from 2004 when I sold their home and sold them a new one. And that new one we just sold again. I love it when former buyers become sellers again.
Today I received a gift, a note, and the card above. "You don't just give, you give from the heart, and it makes a difference." Nice to be appreciated after a transaction is over. This has been a really good day starting with a challenging workout at the gym followed by a settlement with one of my favorite all time buyers and sellers. I say buyers and sellers because we sold and settled on their home last week and they bought and settled on another today. It was a smooth settlement, everyone was happy and smiling...even the sellers who are right in the middle of their move. I just got a nice paycheck. I mean, thank you note. More than a year ago I started working with these wonderful sellers, and we went through some challenging times together. But letters like this are what keep me going. And isn't that what real estate is all about?

What is your game plan for this changing market? Too many people have accepted the "fact" that we're in a down real estate market. We need to remember that the media is trying to sell news, not houses. Ask the woman whose house has been listed for almost two months and she'll tell you the market is terrible. But then ask the man who just sold his house, and he'll say the market if fine! Good professional Realtors® are busy listing and selling regardless of the scare stories in the press.
