For the SECOND time in sixteen days we have snow falling in the New Bern, NC area.  As I write this at the kitchen table, I'm looking out the sliding door towards the Trent River, in Jones County and see snow quickly painting our summer play ground white.
Sometimes we go 2 or 3 years with NO SNOW!
Just a few months ago I was cutting green grass and watching all the little animals getting ready for Winter.  Today all the trees are bare and their nests are covered with snow.
