dallas homes for sale: Delta Air Lines Announces New Service from Dallas' Love Field - 04/25/09 07:17 PM
Beginning July 6, there will be new flight options at Dallas' convenient Love Field airport. Delta Air Lines has announced its plans to fly nonstop between Dallas Love Field and its Memphis, Tennessee hub 3 times per day.
This new service will be a return to Love Field for Delta, which as recently as 2003 offered nonstop service linking Love Field with its hub in Atlanta. According to Delta, passengers flying from Love Field to Memphis will have connecting opportunities to 237 daily flights to 90 worldwide destinations.

I was reading an online article from Builder magazine and came across that interesting fact, along with several other great ones about my city.
In naming Dallas as one 2009’s Healthiest Housing Markets (we ranked 5th), Builder magazine offered that compared to a 35% drop in housing permits nationally, in 2008, Dallas only dropped by 9%. That’s 26% better than the national average!
The Dallas employment market also seems to be a source of strength. According to the article, 42,000 new jobs were created in the Dallas market last year. That represents a GROWTH rate of 2%.

Earlier this week I was reading a post by my friend Trey Thurmond in which he compared news headlines in urban areas with one from small towns. They compared as you might suspect... the big city headlines were about crime and social issues while the small town ones were about things like church socials. Orange Cup is a new concept frozen yogurt store with what has to be the best, delicious and healthy frozen yogurt my taste buds have ever encountered. Their only current location is on the 2ndlevel of Northpark Mall near Neiman Marcus, but according to their website they have plans to open several more stores this year in the DFW area and Texas.

No doubt about it... there's a lot of information in the media about the housing market. And a lot of it sounds bad... but is it really?
Let's face it... nationally there is not a lot of good economic news. Energy prices are up, food prices are up, homes are not selling as quickly and in many places they are selling for significantly less money. In a national survey of 20 cities, the average price drop was almost 16%! It would be very easy for us sitting here in Dallas to say, "Oh no! I better wait to buy or sell … (1 comments)
