Some big car manufacturers are touting the use of Ethanol and E85 fuels as a way to save the planet and a "Green Alternative." George Bush was on TV 4/29/08 pushing growing more plant matter for ethanol as a gasoline alternative. On the surface it sounds OK, but in reality the case doesn't add (5 comments)

You might wait until after July 29 to shop. May 2008 Consumer Reports has tests of many new refrigerators, but the key point that they report is that those built after April 28, 2008 must be 20% more efficient than the current federal standard.
