From September 24 to October 17, 2010, the State Fair of Texas will take place at Dallas' Fair Park.

Don't miss the incredible attractions, live performances, the automobile pavilion the Midway, rides and of course the food! Whether it be a classic Fletcher's Corny Dog or one of this years new fried food favorites such as Fried Beer, the next few weeks promise to be some of the most fun all year.

Have you made it to The State Fair of Texas yet??? C'mon! You know you've been wanting to go try all the new friend foods at the Fair.... And time is running out.
This week will be the last week of the Fair. The final day will be next Sunday, October 18, 2009.

It's that time of year again, and this is one of my favorite times of the year in Dallas... The 2009 State Fair of Texas will take place at Dallas' Fair Park from September 25 to October 18, 2009.
The State Fair offers more fun and more calories than you can imagine. There's seemingly an endless amount to do and see (and eat) at the fair, and when you are done riding the rides, playing the games, choosing your next car at the auto show and checking out all the agricultural and crafts exhibits, be sure to check out the Chevrolet Main Stage for some great musical entertainment. If it's September in Dallas, the State Fair is just around the corner! For many Texans, one of the highlights of the fair is the annual Fried Foods competition called the Big Tex Choice Award. Each year, finalists for the best new fried food are announced and a cook-off is held to decide on that year's winner. The finalist entries are all available for purchase at food stands during The State Fair of Texas, which runs at Dallas' Fair Park from September 25 to October 18, 2009.

state fair of texas: College Football at The 2008 State Fair of Texas - 09/27/08 11:02 PM
Many people don't realize that there are actually 3 separate college football that take place in the 91,000 seat Cotton Bowl during the 24 day run of the State Fair.
The first will take place on October 4 when at 6 p.m., the Grambling State Tigers will take on the Panthers of Prairie View A&M in the State Fair Classic.
The second is the always exciting Red River Rivalry. Each year this game just gets better and better. The Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners add a spark to their rivalry at 11:00 a.m. on October 11.

My very favorite part of the State Fair has always been the food. I love the rides and being a car nut I always spend time in the Automobile exhibit hall, but first and foremost, when I think of the fair, I think of the food... especially the fried varieties.
I wait all year for a Fletcher's Corny Dog (or two) and to find out what new fried concoctions they will come up with. The Big Tex Choice awards were announced last month and my friend Linda Box Taylor even gave a great run down of this year's new fired … (24 comments)

This has got to be one of my favorite times of the year in Dallas... from September 26 through October 19, The 2008 State Fair of Texas will take place at Dallas' Fair Park.
