wordless wednesday: WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: When Being Blue Isn't Sad! - 06/08/11 10:59 PM
These days in Dallas, Blue is in... and nobody is sad about it. The Dallas Mavericks have the NBA Finals tied at 2-2 and Blue is a happy color for Dallasites. Frankly, it's also a happy color for Clevelanders because polls show that practically everyone in Cleveland is cheering for the Mavs since the Mavs are playing against LeBron James and the Miami Heat! As you can see here, even the flowers in Dallas are showing their Mavericks team spirit! This shot actually reminds me of the photos of fans watching the game at the American Airlines Center last night... A

wordless wednesday: Differentiation and Innovation - 09/02/10 12:42 AM
My recent visit to a classic car show left my longing for the days of long cars with graceful lines and individual style. Too many things today are "cookie cutter" copies of what competes with them. Where's the originality that sets one thing apart from another? Competitors used to set themselves apart through innovative thinking and differentiation. Why are so many today willing to simply mimic or match what someone else has already pioneered? Don't be satisfied to compete... build a better mousetrap and then reap the rewards! - - - - - - - - - - - -

wordless wednesday: WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: Public Art - 06/09/10 09:36 PM
Public art makes such a difference in our daily lives. I pass this sculpture in front of a local office building on nearly a daily basis and it always catches my eye. The geometric design and bright color contrasting with its environment always reminds me of an Alexander Calder piece. I have always loved Calder's work, especially his larger pieces. I've sometimes wondered about lounging with a book on the bottom arm of this piece of art. It would make me feel at one with it, but somehow I suspect the security people from the building it sits in front of might object.

wordless wednesday: Wordless Wednesday: The Big Lobster - 05/27/10 12:01 AM
On my recent trip to my childhood home in New Jersey, I had a reunion with 30+ friends who I have known since grade school... and one friend, below, who I only met for the first time that night. The Big Lobster at Pub 199 (Located at 199 Howard Blvd.) in Mount Arlington, NJ is not only a sight to behold, but he comes with a bowl of drawn butter and is quite tasty! To put his size in perspective, check out the soup bowl of butter or the large baked potato by his tail! - - - - -

wordless wednesday: WORDY WEDNESDAY: Real Estate & the Weather - 10/07/09 11:07 PM
Who do you call when the storm clouds of the real estate market roll in? You know which clouds I am talking about... the ones that send chills down your spine. The clouds that you notice after seeing 5 new "FOR SALE" signs in your neighborhood on your way to work one morning. Or the ones you notice as you're drinking your morning coffee and see the newspaper headline about home sales rates or home prices dropping. Or what about the real estate clouds that you notice as you get that first default notice from your mortgage company because you haven't

wordless wednesday: Wordy Wednesday: The REALTORĀ® as Dream Maker...Bridging the Gap - 09/23/09 11:55 PM
Of all the services that I get to provide to my clients, helping prospective home buyers "bridge the gap" between what they want in a new home or what they perceive the market will allow them to buy and what their budget and parameters will permit is one of my favorites. Many prospective homeowners come to me with an idea of what they want, but no idea how to achieve those dreams. Sometimes those dreams may be slightly out of reach, but with some assistance and education about the market, they are able to reshape their dreams and make them achievable.

wordless wednesday: WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: What should we look at first? Ask a REALTOR! - 09/16/09 10:05 PM
The home buying or selling process can be complicated. There's much to know, and even once you know it, the rules of the game change constantly. Many homebuyers struggle to answer questions ranging from "Do I qualify for the $8,000 first time homebuyer tax credit?" to "Which area should we look at?" or "How much is that home worth and how do I make an offer on it?" Home sellers face similar challenges in properly pricing, marketing and staging their homes for sale. It's enough to send a house hunting couples like the one picture below headed in different directions in search
