Bin 555 serves a Tapas style menu with great wines, in a very casual and relaxed atmosphere, (they even have an outdoor eating area with a stone fireplace!). What are Tapas? Well, when I went to go find out, I was surprised at all of the different definitions that came up. The word Tapas means cover or lid in Spain. Tapas are small plates of food that can be eaten as appetizers (10 comments)
Whoa Nelly, Hold On To Your Horses!! Homebuyer Tax Credit Extended or Not? - 10/29/09 08:02 AM
Has the Home buyer Tax Credit been Extended or Not? I got really excited as I received from two different marketing sources that the Home Buyer Tax Credit has been extended through 2010 at a somewhat discounted rate, depending on different situations. Below is the news statement I have received. Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) says Senate Democrats have agreed to extend the first-time home buyer tax credit. The latest version extends the program to home sales signed — not closed — by April 30. Purchasers would have another 60 days to close the sale. The credit will also (4 comments)

Credit Card Act of 2009 - Were you aware there was one?! Credit card debt is one of the reasons a lot of us get into trouble with our finances and our credit scores! This summer the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure Act of 2009, (CARD) was signed into law. The effective date will be February 2010, (just around the corner). Here is a breakdown of what the law says: Over credit limit fees will be prohibited, unless consumers specifically agree to allow the transaction to go through, (those can get pretty pricey). No more late fee traps! Institutions will have (9 comments)

Gratitude - 10/13/09 07:32 AM
This was passed on to me in my e-mail and I thought it wonderful enough to share with you all this morning. The Whale.... If you read a recent front page story of the SF Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines. She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds 9of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth. A fisherman (5 comments)
More Help for the Military Homeowner - 10/11/09 10:12 AM
There's some more help for the military homeowner. A few week ago I reblogged a post by Lenn Harley. This post had some great information for military homeowners about what is known as a VA Compromise Sale. This is for military homeowners that had secured their home with a VA Loan and found themselves in a negative equity situation. If you have not heard about the VA Compromise Sale or read the prior post, please click HERE and get the information. In April of this year, the Department of Defense announced that as a part of the American Recovery and (7 comments)
Just Call Me Bloggy-Anna! - 10/10/09 09:35 AM
Help Candice out and vote, vote, vote :o)! Via Candice A Donofrio, Broker Fort Mohave, AZ Txt 928-201-4242 : I've been accused of Pollyanna overoptimism many times. I'll own that. But why change that if it works/? To me, that's just practicality!
I just figure that things will work out if I keep moving forward. And even something that seems negative on the surface is actually a blessing. In other words, RETROFIT A SETBACK INTO A STRENGTH. Aside from the occasional, temporary crash/burns a 52-in-December-post-menopausal-married woman (juxtaposition thoroughly intentional) would have ... I'm pretty darn lucky and would not trade my (7 comments)
The other day I wrote a post that would have seemed to some to be a negative spin on things. This really wasn't my intention at all; however, in reading it thoroughly, I can get where some would think I was whining just a little :o). There are times in ones life when they begin to look at things in a different type of light. I spent 21 years in the Army as a Combat Medic, and I was not an hourly employee there either. We were told from the time I joined in 1987 that we were Soldiers 24/7. (3 comments)
