Mayfield Ranch in Round Rock Texas - when my husband and I moved here several months ago I searched high and low for an area that we could call home.  After driving around during the day, driving neighborhoods at night (got lost a couple of times, haha), researching homes on the internet, talking with people online - my husband I had narrowed it down to 2 houses in the Mayfield Ranch area and one in another city.

Referral Network - A Complete Profile Might Just Get You The Listing! - 09/26/11 10:10 PM
I have been using the referral network here for quite some time.  I find it gives you the best opportunity to find a good agent in the referral area. 
Here's what I look for:
How many points you have - it's not the deciding factor, but if you don't ever blog and have very few points it gives me the idea that maybe you're not so tech savvy. Profile completed - if at the bottom of your information it says "tell something about yourself" or "this is the area you can insert testimonials", that just makes me think you are super … (5 comments)

Ever question why when you contact a Realtor that they want to know if you are pre-approved?  I have seen buyer's get somewhat miffed by the fact that we, as agents ask them to provide this before looking at homes.  Their response is often "I just want to look at homes, I'm not buying right this second".  In this day and age - if you are not really ready to buy - why are you not just searching these homes on the internet.  When my husband and I relocated to the Austin area, I had in my mind that we would rent … (4 comments)

I can remember 9/11 as if it were just yesterday.  I was 21 years old.  Had been in real estate for a whole 2 weeks.  Standing in the very first home I owned, watching the news from the bathroom as I got ready to go into work that day.  I can remember specifically curling my hair, and from the corner of my eye I saw a plane crash into that first tower.  Young and naive, I wasn't sure but I thought this really seems like something very bad happening in our country.  The news tends to sensationalize things for ratings so … (1 comments)
