Florida's Red Shouldered Hawk...... .....is a fairly common sight in Florida's wetland areas where small prey abounds. I've been witness to this bird munching on a..........well.....a snake, which I shared in this post DinnerTime in Florida's Wetlands The dribble you see is snake guts........what can I say, it is what it is. A very photographic bird with a keen eye and razor sharp beak, content to just sit, watch, wait...........then pounce. Not here though, this is just a nice pic with no gore!!!

Images from the Hubble Telescope at the Kennedy Space Center Titusville FL Last week I re-visited the Kennedy Space Center located right here in Titusville Florida NASA...Shuttles...Rockets...Astronauts....Kennedy Space Center....all reasons we are known as Florida's Space Coast. It had been 5 or 6 years since my last visit and I must say it's pretty impressive. Security was tight but not oppressive, and...several new features have been added. There are 2 IMAX theaters. One featuring Man's Moon Missions, the other a close encounter with the Space Station.........both excellent productions lasting 40-45 minutes.
