landscaping: Some changes for the 2009 season - 04/21/09 06:56 PM
This year we are focusing more on the landscaping and additional services of the business and less on the actual lawn mowing aspect of the business. We will still be offering our aeration, dethatching, lawn rolling, spring/fall clean ups, gutter cleaning, overseeding/ reseeding, and power washing services to new residential customers along with our full line-up of landscaping services from complete overhauls and new installs, to freshening up the mulch or planting new trees/shrubs or flowers. One of our bigger changes for the 2009 season is we will not be accepting any commercial jobs, as we are going to be residential only this year.

landscaping: Are your gutters overflowing with all this rain? We have the solution, Gutter Cleaning! (Genesee Co.,MI) - 09/13/08 11:38 PM
Gutter cleaning is more then just about looks, it can also add years to the life of your roof by allowing the water to properly flow through the gutter system instead of clogging up where it can get under your shingles, rotting your roof much quicker than normal. Before After We also clear the roof of all debris with our gutter cleaning services, as this also helps your roof last longer while allowing rain water to properly flow off of the roof into your gutter system. Side by side before and after pics.

landscaping: Great curb appeal is very important when selling a home! - 09/12/08 03:27 PM
The importance of a well cared for lawn and landscaping when selling a home is actually quite simple, it is the first thing about a home a perspective buyer will see. It can make or break even getting someone to step foot inside the home let alone make a respectable offer. Like the old saying goes "The First impression is the most Important impression". If the outside of the home is uncared for the interior of the home is percieved to be that same way regardless of what it actually looks like. Many home buyers will not even look at a home that

landscaping: Five ways to improve curb appeal - 08/30/08 11:37 AM
1. The lawn should be properly mowed, and fertilization should be considered in many cases. Curbs, sidewalks, and driveways (concrete only as black top driveways can crack and weaked from edging as they do not have the smooth edges for proper edging) should be edged using a steel-blade edger. 2. The landscaping should be fresh and appealing. The hedges should be properly trimmed, dead or dying flowers/ shrubs should be replaced. Also if the flower beds contain mulch it should generally either be replaced or touched up with new mulch to give it that fresh, well cared for look. 3. The gutters should be cleaned and

landscaping: Are you overlooking this important part of Home Staging? - 08/23/08 04:41 PM
Is it accent rugs, pillows on the couches, lamps on the end tables, drapes or curtains? If you think it is any of these things you are incorrect, while they can all be very important to the staging of a home, there is no other part of home staging that is more over looked and forgotten than the proper care and maintenance of a homes lawn and landscaping. You might be wondering what is so important about the lawn and landscaping being properly cared for and maintained? Simple it is the first thing about a home a perspective buyer will see. It

landscaping: When selling your home consider these 5 helpful curb appeal tips - 08/15/08 11:24 PM
These are my top 5 tips for improving a homes curb appeal, which is very important when selling your home (and of course great for the looks of your neighboorhood, and self for those not currently looking to sell): 1. The lawn should be properly mowed, and fertilization or overseeding (depending on the lawn and budget, but do not do both together as many fertilizers will kill new seed) should be considered in many cases. Curbs, sidewalks, and driveways (concrete only as black top driveways can crack and weaked from edging as they do not have the smooth edges for proper edging) should be edged

landscaping: A little teaser :-D.... (Flint, MI) - 08/15/08 10:39 PM
I forgot to take pictures before I actually started the project, however I have one you can somewhat see what I had to work with in the begining..... The area we are landscaping is located behind the yellow Trans Am... It was uneven, and a rock/ clay mix. So we installed a retaining wall, spread high quality top soil planted 2 small trees, and 3 shrubs that the business owner picked out. Also we will be putting down a layer of newspaper (to retain water, and block out weeds) with a weed barrier over top of that, then a thick layer

landscaping: Holy Hybiscus those are big! - 08/09/08 11:33 PM
Ok if that's not convincing... These Hybiscus flowers cover my hand with no problem (in the picture my finger tips are holding the stem in the middle... and I am 6'6 250 lbs, my hands aren't exactly tiny) as they range from 6-12" in diameter.... YES UP TO 12 INCHES ACROSS and they can even grow 6' tall with dozens of these giant blooms. There are also a smaller 3-4' tall variation with blooms almost as large! We have these and many other beautiful flowers, shrubs, and even trees (while supplies last) available to you through the great nurseries we deal with in our area.
