residential: Some changes for the 2009 season - 04/21/09 06:56 PM
This year we are focusing more on the landscaping and additional services of the business and less on the actual lawn mowing aspect of the business. We will still be offering our aeration, dethatching, lawn rolling, spring/fall clean ups, gutter cleaning, overseeding/ reseeding, and power washing services to new residential customers along with our full line-up of landscaping services from complete overhauls and new installs, to freshening up the mulch or planting new trees/shrubs or flowers. One of our bigger changes for the 2009 season is we will not be accepting any commercial jobs, as we are going to be residential only this year.

residential: The importance of proper lawn care and landscaping maintenance when selling a home - 05/06/08 10:05 PM
You might be wondering what is so important about the lawn and landscaping being properly cared for and maintained? Simple it is the first thing about a home a perspective buyer will see. It can make or break even getting someone to step foot inside the home let alone make a respectable offer. Like the old saying goes "The First impression is the most Important impression". If the outside of the home is uncared for the interior of the home is percieved to be that same way regardless of what it actually looks like. Many home buyers will not even look at a

residential: DIY Lawn Fertilization Tips - 05/06/08 10:00 PM
When applying fertilizer you want to be very careful as it does contain some dangerous chemicals that can irritate and sometimes even burn your skin (I have heard of possible links to cancers and stuff too so yeah you want to be really careful). I always wear pants and closed toe shoes or boots (yes even in the good summer heat). If you can breath when you wear a mask I suggest wearing one of those as well (to cut down breathing in all the fumes and chemicals). Also when you are done I suggest taking a good shower to

residential: Proper Watering Techniques - 05/06/08 09:57 PM
Proper watering techniques guarantee the heath and beauty of your lawn and plants. It's important to water your plants deeply. The appearance of your plants reflects how much moisture they have. Yellow, drooping leaves indicate over-watering, while grayish leaves and wilting indicate under-watering. If you can leave a footprint on the grass, it is also an indication of under-watering. Look at your lawn and plants carefully before watering them to gauge the right amount of water they need. It's best to water early in the morning before 10 a.m. because evaporation is less during these hours. Evaporation is also less during

residential: Looking to sell your home? Lets add to the value first! - 04/09/08 10:59 AM
What is the most under rated, most over looked and forgotten part of home staging. Is it accent rugs, pillows on the couches, lamps on the end tables, drapes or curtains? If you think it is any of these things you are incorrect, while they can all be very important to the staging of a home, there is no other part of home staging that is more over looked and forgotten than the proper care and maintenance of a homes lawn and landscaping. You might be wondering what is so important about the lawn and landscaping being properly cared for and maintained? Simple
