There's nothing quite like being at an Inman Bloggers Connect with laryngitis!
I cannot speak. Not at all. I could not even flirt back with a lovely age appropriate gentleman who tried to strike up a conversation at last night's cocktail party!
I've had to sit here and just listen. Actually, that's not an altogether bad thing.
Yesterday after the fun stuff about blogging, they brought in the economists. Now that was depressing! Anyone who came to hear about the impending recovery was pretty disappointed, because now I've got just a wee inkling of how bad this could all really get!

Last night, feeling almost human but sounding just awful (I’ve completely lost my voice) I headed down to the atrium at the Marriot Marquis for the kick-off party. And I saw some familiar faces.By the time I found my camera, I couldn’t find Sara Bonet of Zillow, the hosts of the gathering. But I did run into Jeff Turner and his wife Rocky.
Then there was Kim Wood and Sarah Cooper.
And New York blog buddy Mitchell Hall.
And Desiree Daniels!

inman connect 2009 new york: On The Blogger Bus To New York and Inman! - 01/06/09 09:45 AM
There are a bunch of bus lines that run between downtown DC and Penn Station in New York. They are competitng, not only on really cheap fares and pretty reliable service, but these guys (DC2NY) have in-route WiFi that is really fast! And I'm on the 9:30 departure (it did leave on time) to New York City to Bloggers Connect.
I went last year and loved it - it's always fun to meet the bloggers you love to read in person, and that will start this evening with a Beer with Bloggers get together sponsored by Zillow. I've been looking forward … (24 comments)

Any chance I get, I'll drop everything and head for New York on the Vamoose Bus! And this time, my excuse is Inman Connect 2009, from January 6th through the 9th.
I went last year, learned a lot, met a bunch of blog buddies and decided to go again.
And i was just wondering - I hadn't seen any blog posts here on Active Rain and thought I'd ask - who else might be going?
