I just read the final Makeover2Takeover challenge, and it hit me!So many of the Brian Buffini and Tommy Hopkins types talk about their early real estate training – with a helpful broker handing them a telephone and telephone book with a command: “Go get ‘em, Tiger!”  And the vast majority of real estate training programs are pretty pathetic.The eight weeks of challenges for this contest really provide agents, from newbies to veterans like me, with a clear roadmap to success.  What a fabulous basis for a training program for agents trying to make a living in this quirky market!It’s pretty much … (33 comments)

At Evers & Company, we celebrate each month’s top volume agent with the “Maid of the Month” designation.  (I’m not sure what they do if one of the guys wins it!)  And the prize is a poster designed by blog buddy and office Art Director, Piers Lamb. This afternoon, my mentor met my database.It was not pretty.I proudly described how I used the Address Book and I-Cal programs on my Mac to more or less keep track of "My People".OK, she wondered, how are they categorized?  Well, um....And are you really keeping track of what's going on in each transaction with Address Book?  Well, um....And just how do you use this so-called database, she wanted to know?  Oh, so you can send out invitations to your annual Christmas party?  Well, um...All right already!  I need a makeover!  I admit it!  I'm a little scattered with too much data … (26 comments)
