I recently met a couple who had written 13 offers on various homes in Northern Virginia - with no luck at all. And they sounded really, really motivated. Right now, they are living with the in laws. Not great.
They were working with an agent who I know is good at what she does. She works hard, knows the territory and plays well with others. So what was going on here? Their plight is not unusual. This week, I was lucky enough to have a listing that had a sort of universal appeal. It was located in a great neighborhood with first rate schools, it was in good condition with a new kitchen and baths, was nicely staged - and of course it was well-priced. I did my homework!
Over the weekend, about 100 people came through the Open Houses that I did on Saturday and Sunday. The seller and I decided to look at offers on Tuesday afternoon, and I put that information into my MRIS listing.
