  I just received this from a friend, I have no idea who wrote it, but it's too good not to share.  It goes right along with Kim Wood's post on open houses.  There are so many creeps out there, and we all take risks in this business with strangers.  Also good to pass on to the kids:

Ok, I'm a big pushover for sob stories.  But this one is real.  I don't know if anyone seen the Today show some months back, but a family in Carol Steam Illinois lost their home due to the husband's illness.  The couple has been on TV, and also featured in a few Chicago newspapers.  
A friend called me to see if I could help them in anyway.  I'm currently calling all the listings I can find anywhere, in the paper, mls, ads on the internet, etc.  I'm looking for vacant homes that have been sitting on the market forever and hoping someone … (0 comments)
