No time to waste - 08/12/09 08:23 AM
Times have definitely changed and there are still so many people in the Real Estate business that are waiting for business to come to them. You sit there and watch them complain that they don't have any business yet they aren't doing anything to better the situation. Todays market you not only need to pound the pavement but you also need to have a web presence. 92% of the transactions that are started originate from being on the web. That is just insane to let something like that go unnoticed. This is just my food for thought this morning.
Get your second wind! - 08/06/09 10:44 AM
Ok time for the soap box.... I don't know if it is the Marine in me but I do see a lot of folks in our business that is getting bite by the misery bug. Remember misery loves company! Stay away from those that are not a positive influence on your personal or business life. Get your second wind we are finally on the turn of the market coming back. We all just need to pull our boot straps that much tighter and charge forward. I know there is definitely some potholes you may come upon but you just have to (5 comments)
Real Estate Coaching a new fad? - 08/06/09 09:58 AM
Is it me or am I losing it... In just the last month I see more and more Real Estate Coaching popping up. My question is this the latest fad for those that just couldn't make it any longer in the field so they are taking another path? Do not get me wrong I know there are good coaching professionals/systems out there. I just have noticed a flood of new ones in the past month.

I sit here and see the things that I have been up against in the last 5 years in the mortgage business. After being in 3 different cities and having to build up my pipeline each time with little help or guidance. Things always have a way of working out as long as you have the mindset to make it happen. I actually ran across this quote and think it is perfect for everyone that tied to the real estate market. "Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there (1 comments)

Just getting something off my chest... I have been in the business for 6 years now so I can say I feel that I am seasoned in our industry... Since the majority of my business revolves around purchase deals I try to help out Real Estate Agents as much as possible to get new deals in the door. It does amaze me the ones that I come in contact with that say they do not have any business and when I sit down with them to go over some great ideas on getting business. After all is said and done two (7 comments)
Ducks in a row - 08/01/09 08:10 PM
My specialty as an Idaho loan officer is purchase deals. I just like working with buyers and the need to having a deadline that needs to be met with so many people depending on me. I don't know if it comes from my Marine Corps backround of being in artillery that time is everything. If off by a smig in calculation or timing then we have a big blow up in the wrong location. When that gun goes off you want to make sure you have all your ducks in a row. The same goes in have your Purchase and Sale (3 comments)
