    We spotted this lovely lady dangling not so very far away from her
web during a  Canton home inspection.  The red dots indicate that she is
indeed a Black Widow. Also, due to the grape shape that her belly has,
we would say she is full of eggs. 
Don’t let her beauty fool you- she is venomous!  Even though she is shy , she prefers the night life. Don’t take her by surprise, you might get bitten.

When I arrive at your home for your home inspection, I'll begin by carefully taking a look at the exterior of the property.  All exterior features of the property will be inspected including driveways, drainage systems, and grading.  The entire roof will be inspected along with chimneys, skylights, vent pipes and gutters.  You would be amazed at how many inspectors don't walk the roof anymore.

I know that as real estate agents, you get ask all the time by the homeowners the age old question of "How long is my (you fill in here) going to last?  How long can I expect my dishwasher to last or what about the roof.  The average home owner wants to know the average life expectancy of these normal house hold components and they  expect you to know the answer. So I thought I would help you out a little with a few answers.

As an Atlanta Home Inspector, in this market I have been wondering at what point do you throw in the towel on a home with problems? Or better yet, are you even allowed to throw in the towel?  There is some things that I just don't understand and one of those things is "Why more people don't get a pre-listing inspection done on a home before doing all that you do?"  It seems to me and of course this is just my opinion, but it seems like people go about this a little backwards.

David Lelak, an Atlanta Home Inspector located the following issue on a local Canton, Ga home inspection that he was doing. Most people don't even begin to realize the fire hazards that a dryer vent can cause. This particular case is really dangerous and you also have to wonder if the homeowners didn't notice dryer lint on the floor or if maybe it feed into a place that it wasn't noticable.
