georgia home inspector: Oh How I'm going to MISS baseball this year - 02/13/08 09:57 AM
I've never really went to the Braves game or any baseball game for that matter because I loved sitting in the stadium and watching the game. I went because my baseball player LOVED the game. From the age of 3 until 9 1/2 my daughter LOVED baseball. She didn't care who played as long as she could watch. If you're passionate about real estate and everyone knows it, it becomes your driving force and you become great at what you do. Breana was passionate about baseball. Her older brother played and ever since she was two he would throw the ball

georgia home inspector: An Encouraging Word - It makes such a difference. - 02/13/08 08:20 AM
Most of you know me as The Home Inspectors wife, but I really do have another life also. My second job is always an adventure and I never know what will happen. I just have to go about it day by day and sometimes it can be minute by minute. There is always an unending supply of laughs. You see I'm a school bus driver for Cherokee County and I drive all ages from Kindergarten all the way up to high schoolers. It's the kindergartners that always amazes me. Even in the mornings they are so full of life, even when I'm

georgia home inspector: Georgia Home Inspector's handy Tip! - 02/11/08 06:00 PM
Trust your Tools! Every body has a different set of tools and must have common knowledge of how to use them. If you're about to start a framing project you wouldn't use a trim hammer. You want to use the right tool for the job. Home owners often get into projects only to find out they lack the tools needed to finish the job. My father in law is having a house built and for two Saturdays him and another guy has tried to finish the plumbing only to figure out that they don't have the tool they need or the

georgia home inspector: The Atlanta Home Inspector Called MY Baby Ugly! - 02/06/08 10:03 PM
How dare the home inspector call my baby ugly? Sorry I'm not talking about this baby, I'm talking about your other baby.... Folks, let's face it in the south these are fightin' words and it doesn't matter if your're talking about their child, their car or their house. Either way if you say anything wrong, there's going to be trouble, especially if you are a home inspector. So now your BABY of a home is on the market and you have moved stuff, manicured the lawn and cleaned and store everything and more or less lived in a museum for the last week, month or year. Your

georgia home inspector: I can TELL the Super Bowl Game is OVER - 02/03/08 09:21 PM
About an hour ago I checked and there was only about 1,300 people on-line compared to the 3724 on-line now and when I looked to see who was actually on activerain there was only about 130 on AR. Now that the football game is over there is 226 logged in and climbing. It's funny to watch what's going on and how active everything is. I do believe there is some AR Addicts out there and I'm quickly becoming one. :-) Bonnie TheHomeInspectorsWife

georgia home inspector: Great New Tool For Those who love Text Messaging - 02/01/08 10:23 AM
Last night I was looking around for some marketing information and also looking for ways to increase David's presence on the web and found this really neat site called It is a place that allows you to keep in touch with those who are following you just simply by texting your twitter account and all those who have an account instantly know what's going on with you. It also puts your information on their twitter account so when the search engines and spiders are doing their thing, it finds your name and websites. I thought about several great ways to use this, just in my family alone. Say

georgia home inspector: Atlanta Home Inspectors Great tip of the month - 12/12/07 03:24 PM
I have always been amazed at someone who could tear something apart and put it back together again without having any parts left over. My brother in law is someone who can take any piece of equipment apart and put it back together in working order without any trouble at all. But for those of us who seem to be left scratching our heads and wondering why we have pieces left over here is a great idea to help solve the problem. Use your digital camera to take pictures of the process while taking the item apart. This way if time lapses

georgia home inspector: Atlanta Home Inspector asks "Are home inspections worth it?" - 11/06/07 05:03 PM
I was surfing the web and found this interesting site http://www.trulia.com/ for real estate professionals and it is where you can ask a question and the real estate professionals will answer the questions. Pretty neat. I was looking to see if there was any home inspectors on the site and so I did a search and the first thing that came up was the above question. I thought it would be interesting to see what the pros had to say. I checked and there was 27 answers and each one was a yes, it is worth the money. I thought it was neat to

georgia home inspector: Georgia Home Inspector wants to know "Could you have high levels of Radon, my Wifes mother didn't think she would because I didn't but...." - 11/02/07 08:27 AM
As a Georgia Home Inspector I do radon testing and most people don't know what it is nor do they know the risk that it causes. Radon is a cancer-causing natural radioactive gas that you can't see, smell or taste. Its presence in your home can pose a danger to your family's health. The good news is that Radon Gas can be detected with a simple test and if the home you're purchasing has elevated levels of Radon Gas, it can be easily fixed. The key to the issue is Getting A Radon Test. Then you know if the problem exists and if

georgia home inspector: Update On The Kids Marching for Africa. - 11/01/07 05:06 PM
Hi if I was surprised at how well these kids were doing on raising money for Africa, it was before I heard the testimony last night. The whole idea was thought up by a 13 year old girl and she ran with the idea and so did the whole group of kids from 1st grade up to 6th grade. These kids raised over $4,000.00 dollars and were not talking about 100s of kids.

georgia home inspector: Kids Marching for Gauna Africa - Georgia Home Inspector was awe struck - 10/25/07 07:53 PM
I went to church last night and was met by my daughters Pastor out in the parking lot. He wanted to check in with me and let me know what these youth (1-6 graders) had accomplished. They had scheduled a walk to support Gauna Africa and they had to get sponsors to sponsor them for each lap that they walked. The Pastor told me that this kids (we have less than 75) had raised approximately $1,700.00 if they walked the required amount of laps. I was floored. First I thought - here these kids are - willing to go to people and get

I'm new here at Active rain and to posting blogs or anything else like, I'm going to give it a shot and I've read several and I have rally learned alot already. Being a Georgia home inspector I'm use to looking at things not talking about them. I look forward to being an active part of this community. Winter is coming and with it cooler temperatures. It was a cool 43 here in Canton this morning on the front porch. Contractors are gearing up to help homeowners renovate their heating systems for a more efficient, comfortable and cozy winter. Many situations, such as the age of
