ihihomeinspections: Baseball season is right around the corner for this Atlanta home inspector. - 01/16/09 11:24 AM
You know I'm seeing the signs for baseball sign ups and I hear the excitement in the air, baseball season is just around the corner and I can't wait to see what happens this year. We have several friends who now have children playing so we might just have to make it out to the ball field. Here's one of the post that I did right after becomming a member of ActiveRain and it is still one of my favorites. Oh How I'm going to MISS baseball this year I also just did an announcement for the signups here http://activerain.com/blogsview/872345/Cherokee-County-baseball-sign-ups-start-this-weekend Our daughter

ihihomeinspections: Georgia Home Inspector's handy Tip! - 02/11/08 06:00 PM
Trust your Tools! Every body has a different set of tools and must have common knowledge of how to use them. If you're about to start a framing project you wouldn't use a trim hammer. You want to use the right tool for the job. Home owners often get into projects only to find out they lack the tools needed to finish the job. My father in law is having a house built and for two Saturdays him and another guy has tried to finish the plumbing only to figure out that they don't have the tool they need or the

ihihomeinspections: The Atlanta Home Inspector Called MY Baby Ugly! - 02/06/08 10:03 PM
How dare the home inspector call my baby ugly? Sorry I'm not talking about this baby, I'm talking about your other baby.... Folks, let's face it in the south these are fightin' words and it doesn't matter if your're talking about their child, their car or their house. Either way if you say anything wrong, there's going to be trouble, especially if you are a home inspector. So now your BABY of a home is on the market and you have moved stuff, manicured the lawn and cleaned and store everything and more or less lived in a museum for the last week, month or year. Your

ihihomeinspections: I can TELL the Super Bowl Game is OVER - 02/03/08 09:21 PM
About an hour ago I checked and there was only about 1,300 people on-line compared to the 3724 on-line now and when I looked to see who was actually on activerain there was only about 130 on AR. Now that the football game is over there is 226 logged in and climbing. It's funny to watch what's going on and how active everything is. I do believe there is some AR Addicts out there and I'm quickly becoming one. :-) Bonnie TheHomeInspectorsWife

ihihomeinspections: Great New Tool For Those who love Text Messaging - 02/01/08 10:23 AM
Last night I was looking around for some marketing information and also looking for ways to increase David's presence on the web and found this really neat site called It is a place that allows you to keep in touch with those who are following you just simply by texting your twitter account and all those who have an account instantly know what's going on with you. It also puts your information on their twitter account so when the search engines and spiders are doing their thing, it finds your name and websites. I thought about several great ways to use this, just in my family alone. Say

ihihomeinspections: Atlanta Home Inspector asks "Are home inspections worth it?" - 11/06/07 05:03 PM
I was surfing the web and found this interesting site http://www.trulia.com/ for real estate professionals and it is where you can ask a question and the real estate professionals will answer the questions. Pretty neat. I was looking to see if there was any home inspectors on the site and so I did a search and the first thing that came up was the above question. I thought it would be interesting to see what the pros had to say. I checked and there was 27 answers and each one was a yes, it is worth the money. I thought it was neat to

ihihomeinspections: Georgia Home Inspector wants to know "Could you have high levels of Radon, my Wifes mother didn't think she would because I didn't but...." - 11/02/07 08:27 AM
As a Georgia Home Inspector I do radon testing and most people don't know what it is nor do they know the risk that it causes. Radon is a cancer-causing natural radioactive gas that you can't see, smell or taste. Its presence in your home can pose a danger to your family's health. The good news is that Radon Gas can be detected with a simple test and if the home you're purchasing has elevated levels of Radon Gas, it can be easily fixed. The key to the issue is Getting A Radon Test. Then you know if the problem exists and if

ihihomeinspections: Update On The Kids Marching for Africa. - 11/01/07 05:06 PM
Hi if I was surprised at how well these kids were doing on raising money for Africa, it was before I heard the testimony last night. The whole idea was thought up by a 13 year old girl and she ran with the idea and so did the whole group of kids from 1st grade up to 6th grade. These kids raised over $4,000.00 dollars and were not talking about 100s of kids.

ihihomeinspections: Kids Marching for Gauna Africa - Georgia Home Inspector was awe struck - 10/25/07 07:53 PM
I went to church last night and was met by my daughters Pastor out in the parking lot. He wanted to check in with me and let me know what these youth (1-6 graders) had accomplished. They had scheduled a walk to support Gauna Africa and they had to get sponsors to sponsor them for each lap that they walked. The Pastor told me that this kids (we have less than 75) had raised approximately $1,700.00 if they walked the required amount of laps. I was floored. First I thought - here these kids are - willing to go to people and get
