Saturday, February 21, 2009 will go down in history as one of the best Chili Battles ever!  We are hosting an appreciation get together for all of our friends, clients and past clients at the Community Park of Rockledge.  The Midnight Wind, my Dad's band will be providing music and entertainment, and a special song by Brant Christopher Menswar will top it all off!  The fun kicks off at 1:00 PM.

I found this post unfinished in my draft file, wow what a blur the last few weeks have been!  Rather than change it, I am posting it in the spirit that it was written in a couple of weeks ago.
Tropical Storm Fay dropped more rain on Brevard County Florida than anywhere else, more than all of the 2004 hurricanes did in Florida all together!  There are many people homeless and suffering as I write this, and there are good stories starting to rise to the top.  Many good neighbor stories and community efforts are seen more and more.  One of them … (16 comments)

Participants and spectators braved the "shivering cold" weather at the annual Cocoa-Rockledge Christmas Parade today.  In fact, the temperature dipped down to the upper 80's with a heat index into the 90's.  As usual, the parade was wonderful.  Something just seems to be missing with the hot weather during a Christmas Parade though.  
The parade was led by the Rockledge City Council riding aboard "Old Grandma", a restored antique fire engine driven by Retired Fire Chief Richard Nix. Santa came through at the end, wishing for cold weather somewhere along the way.  All of the bands from the locals schools did an awesome job, braving the "shivering … (0 comments)
