Sunday was the launch of constuction activity for the Extreme Makeover Home Edition site in Indianapolis.  After the Braveheart march on a rainy day, the demolition was started on Bernard McFarland's home on the East Side of Indianapolis.  By Monday early morning, concrete trucks were present pouring the foundation as the new home started to take shape.

A family on the east side of Indianapolis has had a knock on the door from Ty Pennington.  On Sunday 3/29 their home will be demolished to make way for a new home that will be built in about 106 hours.  When they return home on Saturday April 4th, they will be greeted by a cheering crowd chanting "Move That Bus!"
The family is Bernard McFarland and his three sons.  Mr. McFarland has promoted reading in the Brightwood-Martindale community.  He has led efforts to expand the minds of children through reading and field trips to area libraries, museums and cultural activities.  … (0 comments)

If Ty Pennington doesn't knock on your door on March 27th, don't give up hope.  You still might get a knock on the door the next day.  After all the publicity the schedule for Extreme Home makeover in Indianapolis has moved one day.  The famous door knock is now scheduled to occur on Saturday, March 28th.  Home demolition will occur on Sunday and the construction will then be underway in the show's normal super-tight schedule.

Volunteer Pep Rally for Extreme Makeover Home Edition in Indianapolis - 03/21/09 03:26 AM
Several hundred people gathered March 20 for a volunteer pep rally for the coming of Extreme Makeover Home Edition to Indianapolis.   There were several speakers including Paul Estridge of Estridge Homes and Conrad Ricketts, Executive Producer for Extreme Makeover Home Edition.  The build is scheduled to start on March 27th and during the following week, the actual time allotted for construction of the home is 106 hours - a little less than 4 1/2 days.

A deserving family in the Indianapolis area will receive a knock on their door late in March that will change their lives drastically.  Extreme Makeover Home Edition is coming to town.  Teaming up with Estridge, a new home builder based in Carmel Indiana, they will over the course of a week build a brand new Indiananpolis home.  Volunteers will be involved in the process as well.  There will be a pep rally for volunteers on March 20 at Centennial Bible Church in Westfield, Indiana.

CP Morgan Out of Business after 25,000 homes - 03/02/09 07:11 PM
On Feb. 27, CP Morgan announced that they would cease operations on Feb. 28, 2009.  As a builder who catered to first-time home buyers, they used a planned construction system and simple design to build at a lower price per square foot.  At one point they were building the most homes of any builder in the Greater Indianapolis area.
