This is why its important to get prequalifed or preapproved ! Make sure your loan officer pulls your credit, knows your total income. Once your credit is pulled, they will look at your debt to income ratio, they will tell you if you can buy a house at this time, if so.........what max amount you should be looking at !!

Many first time buyers do not have any money down, if the credit is good enough chances are you may qualify for a USDA loan with closing costs rolled in. Everyone needs to keep tabs on their credit score and check yearly all 3 reports !!! The higher your score, less debt you have, chances are you will get a better interest rate !
