Flower Mound's Lakeside Business District was recently featured in the Dallas Business Journal, which noted the rapid growth of the 226-acre business park. The article made mention of the 85 acre, 1.8 million square feet of business space which is being developed by Seefried Properties and Cousins Properties.  The two companies recently announced that Home Depot Supply signed a lease for almost half of the space in the first 750,000-square-foot building, and several developers have expressed interest in purchasing the remaining land in the district. Grand Opening of the Old Town Community Garden in Lewisville, Texas - 05/18/07 08:33 AM
Used to be a parking lot, the Old Town Community Garden is providing an environment for inexperienced and experienced gardeners to build a community spirit.  Surplus produce will be donated to the CCA food pantry where 30% of the angels are diabetic and in need of nutritious food.  Individuals and volunteer groups have worked for months creating fertile soil for planting, a compost pile, decorative arbor and walkways.  Everyone is very excited about this shared vision, so join us for the grand opening!

Animal Registration Information
All animals within the city limits must be registered.
Licenses for dogs and cats may be obtained from the animal control office at City Hall.
City registration tags are issued and (in addition to a current rabies vaccination tag) must be worn by the animal at all times.
The fee is $5.00 and proof of a current rabies vaccination must be presented. 
Registrations must be renewed annually.
Forms for registration are available in the foyer at city hall and animals may be registered by mail.

Highland Village, Texas has a Home-Based Business Directory.

If you live in Highland Village, Texas your child must have Scooter Training.  The city ordinance ( 04-094)requires scooter training for kids 12 years of age and older.  The ordinance regulates the use of motorized scooters within the city limits.  The three most important regulations/restrictions are: 1. No Gas Scooters, 2. Minimum Age Requirement is 12 years old, 3. The Town of Argyle will host the first Annual Argyle Pride Day to kick off it's Keep Argyle Beautiful campaign, an affiliate of Keep Texas Beautiful, by having a volunteer litter pickup and by giving away 300 trees to its citizens until the trees are gone.  The community-wide family event will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2007, from 8am until 2pm at the Commons at Argyle Town Square located off of Hwy 377 on Old Town Blvd.

Highland Village has New Communication Service
The city of Highland Village has implemented the Connect-CTY service to provide our city administrators with the ability to send and track voice messages to businesses, residents and city employees, as well as schedule pertinant work.  All of this is done with a single phone call.  The city administrators can use the Connect CTY service to personally communicate on a periodic basis with residents about important things that may need to be published.
