I remember during my childhood how each spring my father would get down on his hands and knees and work  a row of soil on the side of the garage in preparation for planting and attach chicken wire to the side of the garage.   After that, he would come in the house, get a bowl of water ready, open several packages of seeds and carefully place them into the water.  The next day, he would again get down on his hands and knees and gently move the soil in such a way as to leave a trench.  He would then go … (16 comments)
