What interest rates are going to do???? - 03/28/09 08:13 PM
Interest rates has been historically low. Pay attention! if you go back to about November of 2008 till now you will notice that interest rates been pretty stable. There is talk about them staying low for the remaining spring and summer. The Fed is controlling this situation because they are trying to give buyers an opportunity to buy now. In my opinion I recommend that people go out there and find themselves a home while interest rates are low. Also, I believe that as soon as the summer is over there will be a jump in the rates and it will happened (2 comments)
The Real Estate Market Today. - 03/23/09 03:47 PM
The news today: Home sales are up as of February 2009 mostly in California and Nevada. But they say that the majority of sales are foreclosed and short sales homes. Inventory is available for nine months of shopping. However this is not an indication of home prices to go up as of yet. Due to unemployment still rising in the country, predictions are that the prices will keep coming down. They say that in these States the mortgage payment is equal to a monthly rent these days. Hopefully there are people out there who managed to keep their credit in good standing (1 comments)

Rated 10 - 03/19/09 08:59 PM
Before Christmas last year I received a phone call from a potential first time Home buyer. I always ask customers how did they find me because it helps me understand what marketing is working for me. He said that his wife found me in the Staten Island Properties book. I took them them out a few times only and we found a House that they loved and we bought it. During this time there were a lot of phone calls and communications. Unlike many buyers these people just wanted to move quick! BAM, BAM, BAM! We rushed the bank the attorneys the appraiser (0 comments)
Listing Dilemma - 03/17/09 08:02 AM
I am working with a homeowner who's getting divorced. Here's my dilemma. Based on the market value there is no doubt in my mind that we can sell this house to cover the mortgage balance. But what about the commission and what about the closing costs? Will a bank consider a short sale in this situation? Should the homeowner stop paying their mortgage? (0 comments)
What kind of an agent are you? - 03/11/09 07:34 PM
When I started in the Real Estate business one of the first things my manager said to me was " Irena, always present your offers to the homeowner" this is the way I was trained and this is how I always done it. Well, I recieved an offer from an OB agent on one of my listings via the fax 3 days ago. This agent never called me before or even after the offer was faxed. Never even contacted me. The agent basicaly has no idea if I received the fax or not. would you want this type of an agent to represent (0 comments)
Office meetings - 03/11/09 07:22 PM
Well here it is. SInce day one in the Real Estate business business I always believed that attending office meetings is very important. You get to hear everything that is going on, new rules, news and the latest in technology. You probably don't get to learn something new every time ther is a meeting but 9 out of 10 times you do. You never know which time it is so if you want to be on top of your game you must attend evry time. That is my motto and I hope it is yours too. (0 comments)
Sprinkler systems - 03/10/09 09:50 PM
A new law came in to place recently that states that you must install a sprinkler system on any renovation job if the street the property is located on is 38 feet wide or more. I was wondering if anyone here on Staten Island knows more about. Any information will be greataly appreciated. (0 comments)

Today is March 8th. What does it mean? and why is it a special day?Back in the days when Soviet Union existed March 8th was a special day. It was a celebration a holiday. Everyone was excited because it was a day of the woman. She was treated especially nice and she would receive flowers and gifts from everyone. This was her day. She did not need to be a mother or a wife all she needed to be is a woman. Since then the Soviet Union is no longer exists. But this special day is now being celebrated even here (0 comments)
$8,000.00 for 1st Time Home buyrs. - 03/05/09 08:26 AM
It is finely clear. If you did not own a home in the past 3 year you can file for the $8,000 tax credit and you don't have to pay it back period! Its like getting an $8,000 gift just like that. But there is a catch, you must also live in the new home that you purchased for at least 3 years. So, go out there and live the American Dream of home ownership and find yourself and your family a home. Take advantage of the low prices and low interest rates. What a Great Country we live in.
