What: A celebration of cinematic creativity, art and innovation that you do not want to miss. Films by women, for women. Great parties, a chance to hear from the film makers, and a nice way to support the fight against breast cancer. 50% of all proceeds from ticket sales at the festival will be donated to The Johns Hopkins Avon Foundation Breast Center to further breast cancer research and treatment. What: The annual Maryland State Fair is one of the biggest events in the region that each year attracts upwards of half a million visitors over its 11-day run. Originally a livestock show, the event now includes live entertainment, music, exhibitions and circus acts. A great family day out, visitors can enjoy all manner of events and entertainment ranging from witnessing the birth of calves and piglets at the farm enclosure to cheering on the pigs in the ever-popular Swifty Swine Pig Racing Show.
