Kitchen Upgrades can cost you thousand of dollars or not. Very often I'm asked by potential sellers what should I do to upgrade my kitchen before putting it on the market.
Here are a few suggestions:
1. A fresh coat of neutral paint on the walls, remove all wallpaper, change the light fixture, change the door knobs to compliment the new paint.
2. If you decide to install a backsplash, please select something neutral that compliments your cabinets and doesn't over-bling the whole kitchen.
3. If you decide to change your counters again, neutral, is the best selection. Granite is in and so is Quartz, Glass, Ceramic and laminate is still a good alternative. Again, everything has to blend and work together.
4. Flooring doesn't have to be imported procelaine ceramic - a nice flooring the matches the decor is quite suitable.
If in doubt, ask your real estate agent to refer you to a good interior designer and the 1 to 2 hour consultation will be worth every penny.
Remember that for every dollar you spend, you will be able to recover it and more, if done with taste.
