Make a difference in a child's life. November is National Adoption Month. This is my journey. - 11/09/08 04:47 PM
As a few of you know, I am the proud mother of 2 beautiful children that stepped into my heart, 14 years ago. A weekend turned into a lifetime.  Years ago, I was living life to the fullest, owned a chain of Tanning Salons in Kansas City, MO, traveled with my friends and had a "balls to the wall" attitude. (I'm sorry if that offends anyone. I certainly don't intend to. That was how everyone described me.  I had no fear of failure. In fact, I had very little fear period.  Life was pretty darn good!  Life is even better now.

Renting vs Buying -- Understanding & knowing the difference -- Part 1 of 3 - 11/09/08 03:03 PM
Occasionally, I run across information that someone has written that I feel is important to share.  Jeff Belonger has hit another home run, in my opinion.
I stumbled upon Jeff's Blog on Active Rain a few months ago. Am I ever glad I did!  I have learned so much from reading his posts. Jeff Belonger is in the Mortgage Industry.  I appreciate his honesty, integrity and willingness to share his knowledge with others.  The most important thing I learned is that Jeff Belonger knows his "stuff".  More importantly, he treats every client as if they were family, keeping their best interests at heart.  I find his … (4 comments)

Athens is also one of the oldest cities in the State of Alabama and as such, many homes in the central part of town are part of an historic district. Many of these homes date back to the antebellum period of the early to mid 1800's.
Depending on exactly where your place of employment may be, Athens offers a 20 to 30 minute commute to either Decatur or Research Park in Huntsville.  Many who enjoy the feel … (1 comments)

In a previous blog post we discussed the first steps involved in finding your Huntsville Alabama Dream Home and provided links to research and discuss the area, neighborhoods, schools, and other community information.
Once you have focused your search to your favorite areas or school districts, you are ready to begin looking at online listings of available homes. By now, you probably have a few favorite neighborhoods. However it is not uncommon that your search may likely be conducted over a period of months or longer, especially if you are in the process of relocating.  Driving through neighborhoods is always best.  In doing … (5 comments)
