Sales of single family homes within the Huntsville Metro Area took a sudden and sharp drop during January 2010. When comparing December’s 238 homes sold, January’s 158 closings represent a 66% decline month-over-month.   Seasonality does play into account.  Year-over-year declines were moderate in comparison but still disturbing registering a 14% decent from January 2009 levels.

The wonderful part of being a member of Active Rain, is getting to experience and learn from others.  When we have a great experience with another AR member, we like to toot some horns.  So here is my "toot toot", for Jack Pratt Signs.

My community, forever changed. - 02/10/10 08:13 PM
On February 5th, at 1:45 pm, our community was ever changed.  In the halls of Discovery Middle School, a 9th grade boy pulled out a gun and shot another 9th grade boy in the head.  This all happened between class changes, halls filled with smiling faces and innocene.  The smiles are gone, or at least for now.  White ribbons surround the school grounds and make shift memorials now stand.  It's heartbreaking to drive past, to say the least.  I fight back the tears each time I see it.
