huntsville al real estate: The Huntsville Housing Market is back! - 02/20/11 11:20 PM
The Huntsville Housing Market is back! Traditionally, January is the slowest month for the Huntsville Real Estate Market. As expected, single family homes for sale in Huntsville declined from December’s 333 sales. The Huntsville housing market saw 250 homes sold in January, which is a 25% drop from the previous month. Nothing earth shattering and no need for alarm. The GOOD news is this: Huntsville Al Real Estate is showing a 14% increase year over year. In January 2010, we had 219 Huntsville homes sold. In January 2011, we saw 250 closed. That’s great news. Huntsville Home Sales

huntsville al real estate: Huntsville Al Foreclosures take a downward trend! - 09/04/10 09:09 PM
Huntsville Alabama Foreclosures take a downward trend! This is the 4th consecutive month that we have seen a down turn. I'm hoping this trend continues throughout the next year. While there is much talk of "Shadow Inventory" running rampant in our industry, the Huntsville Real Estate market has been protected for the most part. Included in the new foreclosure activity are: Default notices, auction notices and bank foreclosures. The Huntsville Foreclosures peaked this past February, 2010 at 175 new foreclosures. Over the last 3 months, the rate has come down dramatically to only 100 new notices for July 2010,

huntsville al real estate: I passed 200,000 points and didn't even realize it. SHAME on me! - 08/10/10 11:07 PM
As many of you know, I opened my own company this year, @ Homes Realty Group in Huntsville, AL. When we started this venture, we really had no idea how successful we would be and quite honestly, we weren’t even concerned with our own “success”. Success to us is happy clients, period. However, little did we know that our peers in the industry would peg us as one of the best new brokerages in the country. Little did we know that we would become known as one of the new innovators in the Real Estate Industry by Inman! We are one proud little company,

huntsville al real estate: Huntsville Real Estate Market Reports - 01/31/10 11:10 PM
Huntsville Home Sales weakened during the last month of 2009 with 240 closings in December, a drop of -20% from their November 2009 highs, yet up 5.8% over the same period in 2008. However, for those of us that watch this market closely, this anomaly is not surprising and is even expected. The following 4 year historical sales chart for the Huntsville Real Estate market illustrates Huntsville’s remarkable journey through the still on-going financial crisis. You will notice that sales lows occurred in a downward trend from 2006, 2007, to our most recent lows in 2008. The story from 2009 however, indicates that

huntsville al real estate: MLS Home shopping guide in Huntsville Alabama. - 08/30/08 08:37 AM
When relocating to a new area, I realize how difficult it can be. I have worked with many RELO'S that only had 3 days to make the decision of which area in Huntsville will be home. In the hopes of simplifying things for my buyers, I have started a series about the Huntsville Alabama Real Estate market, breaking it down into MLS search areas. My first entry in this series was the Madison Alabama Real Estate area. You can find that here: Madison Alabama guide to home shopping The southeastern area of Huntsville is one of the more popular and unique areas

huntsville al real estate: Stay-cation for a family of 4, for $300? 3 days of fun in Huntsville Alabama! - 06/28/08 04:08 PM
What is a Stay-cation you ask? A stay at home vacation! With the price of gas sky rocketing, I am sure many families have chosen to spend the 4th of July at home this year. I can hear the voices of children, grumbling and moaning because they don't get the family fun vacation this year. Imagine this...."Kids, no vacation this year, we are going to stay at home and sight see right here". Doesn't sound very exciting, does it? Now, imagine this scenario instead: "Kids, we are going on a Stay-cation this year, right here in Huntsville, Alabama!". That sounds

huntsville al real estate: Huntsville’s 2008 Armed Forces Celebration from Huntsville Alabama Real Estate - 06/25/08 09:40 PM
There is no doubt that the local Huntsville community is an integral part of the Armed Forces of the United States, and this week will mark an extraordinary celebration of this fact. Monday will begin with the Association of the United States Army's (AUSA) buyout of the Huntsville Stars minor league baseball game at Joe Davis stadium. On Wednesday June 25th, General Richard Cody will be the guest speaker at the Armed Forces Salute Luncheon held at the Von Braun Center's north hall, followed by performances of the Soldier's Show, themed ‘America's Soldiers Serving Proud'. huntsville al real estate: Needing an accurate price on your home? A look at value from Huntsville Al Real Estate - 06/24/08 06:33 PM
Getting an accurate sense of the current market value of your existing or future home is part science and part art. If the home of interest is in a neighborhood of similar homes, it's easier to establish value than if it's in an area that has a wide variability in home size, style, and quality. Add to this the knowledge that the real estate and finance markets are dynamic and as these markets change, so does the value of homes. National and even area-wide median home prices are more often than not, of little value in determining the current market value

huntsville al real estate: Edgewater Subdivision, Madison-Huntsville Alabama Real Estate - 06/24/08 06:22 PM
Edgewater Community, Huntsville/Madison Since moving to the Huntsville area in 2007, Edgewater Community has always been one of my favorite local neighborhoods and community is such a fitting description because Edgewater is really composed of several mini-neighborhoods. There is literally a home here for any imaginable taste and lifestyle, from luxurious waterfront acreage to stylish town homes and apartments, rolling hills of stately homes lined with full growth trees to the new construction on Carriage Hill, there is even the private gated neighborhood of Morland Shores. The center piece of life at Edgewater is obviously its vast recreational amenities anchored by

huntsville al real estate: A first Father's day, for my children. - 06/14/08 10:44 PM
As many of you may or may not know, I have 2 beautiful adopted children. They came into my life 13 years ago. My best friend was a Social Worker and needed an emergency placement for a little boy, "just for the weekend". He walked in my front door, and right into my heart. He was almost 7 and had been in many foster homes. His current home at the time was the Salvation Army. Kyle was adorable. Huge blue eyes, dark wavy hair. What a handful! Shortly after Kyle arrived, they asked me to take his baby sister for 2 weeks.
