I don't normally cut and paste articles, but this one really struck a chord with me. Mainly, because I can find common ground with both sides. I do believe that there was negligence on the part of our elected officials in protecting us from flaws in the industry. It seems like someone should have put a stop to busboys being able to claim they made $150k a year and buying a $500,000 home with no money down. My mother always told me, if something looks to good to be true, it probably is. This saying especially applies to bank owned properties. I can't even begin to count how many time's I have gotten a call or an email from one of my clients that have seen a property online and are demanding to know why I didn't send it to them. " This house has four bedrooms, three baths, and is on a 10,000 square foot lot. Everything else we have been looking at half this size".
