I was just reading a blog post from Jim  about his lists to help clients with Real Estate decisions.  It is an excellent blog worth reading and implementing.  I have another version of this idea.   In my life and with my clients I almost always make them - (sometimes reluctantly ) go down the worst case road.  I point it out. We discuss it.  We map out the  worst case.  We face that fear.  Then for emphasis I suggest another plan for the worst case.

This may sound counter productive to some people.  I have found  this  plan is  a good way  to make a decision.  The worst is faced.  Everything else looks rosy.  It really does.

My family moved to Burlington when I was 10 years old. The population was 42, 000 that day. Not yet a city with one arena, two high schools single laned main streets, a sleepy little movie theatre, a bus once a day out to where we lived, orchards,…

I really try to be as curteous as I possibly can. As a Sales Representative and as a person in the regular world I try my best. Today I wanted to buy a table and chair set advertised in a flyer by a large chain store. I was 'greeted' at the door…

Keeping Emotion in check

I have read several blogs now on the 'poker face', and the importance of not giving anything away ie: through emotions. Baffling baffling baffling. Are other people just really good at reading other people and I am not? Are other people so sure…

Showing houses on the weekend I was reminded of a basic tip for buying a home that I had completely forgotten. Knocking on doors. Yep the prospective buyer announced to me.. oh just one minute I am going to knock on the doors of the neighbours and…

Down Size Buyers\; This is your market....
cccc xxx
Buyers are stimulated by record low interest rates - buying a home has never been more affordable. Where did all these buyers come from? Well, mostly they came from the future - they were going to buy in the next few years. So, today's buyers aren't…
