Then you'll be interested in reading the following question I received from a homeowner: "We have short sale approval letters from both Wells Fargo and a HELOC with Wells Fargo. I am happy with the primary letter, but my question is regarding the HELOC approval letter. In a nutshell it asks for me to agree to pay 100% back and they still have rights to sue for deficiency judgment. The other day an agent asked if she could have my “flight plan” to do a short sale. Per Wikipedia, a flight plan is a pilot’s outline of how he will get to his destination, including departure and arrival points, estimated time, alternate airports in case of bad weather, type of flight, etc. This agent was sure I had such a document for short sales. She had never had a short sale listing before, and was looking for a checklist.

Hi folks. I was commenting on an article by Russell Shaw over at AgentGenius earlier and one person actually stated that instead of trying to solve the short sale issue we should be working on speeding up the foreclosure process.
Speed up foreclosures? Sorry but I’m in the business of helping people salvage some of their credit and get out of a bad situation with the least amount of damage. Speeding up the foreclosure process helps nobody.
