south bay: A Stroll Down Candy Cane in Torrance, CA - 12/22/11 08:15 PM
A Trip Down Candy Cane Lane in Torrance, CA “Candy Cane Lane” is a very special series of residential streets in the area that Real Estate agents refer to as “South Torrance”. It borders the eastern end of Redondo Beach, where Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) divides Redondo Beach from the City of Torrance. Each holiday season, something truly magical happens here, as residents literally deck the halls, lighting up nearly every home on the block, up and down about 6 special streets. If you are thinking of buying a home on one of these streets, you best be ready to

south bay: A Look at Southern California's South Bay: Beyond the Beach - 11/07/11 04:17 PM
Beyond the Beach: A look at South Bay Real Estate Southern California's South Bay is the area just South of LAX, the Southern portion of Santa Monica Bay. While border cities like Marina Del Rey and Playa Vista are often included when people speak of the South Bay, the board of Real Estate's area map begins with El Segundo. The South Bay stretches along the coast past Manhattan and Redondo Beach, as far as the Port of Los Angeles and San Pedro. It has a rich history beginning with the Chumash indians and early Spanish ranchers. The economy revolved closely around the aerospace and auto industries

south bay: Knock, Knock, Who's There? No one? Great, I'm breaking in. . . - 10/06/11 06:59 PM
Avoiding Home Burglary in the South Bay This Season As we near the holiday season, many of us start scouting for sales and deals, shopping for gifts early & stashing them all over the house. While you are carefully planning for a wonderful holiday, fulfilling the wishes and dreams of those around you, someone else may be planning to do a little “shopping” of their own. We’ve all heard and read about the increase in theft and burglary that’s traditional around the holidays. We’ve been educated on the topic of how to raise awareness of your surroundings, not to

south bay: Staycation's All I've Ever Wanted . . . - 08/17/11 05:07 PM
As summer winds down, the South Bay still has much to look forward to. Our weather typically doesn’t get warmer until after October and the Beaches and parks remain fantastic “staycation” spots for local residents. A big favorite for many is the end of summer party known as Fiesta Hermosa, a 39 year old tradition of celebrating both the traditional “beginning” and “end” of summer. Fiesta Hermosa is a 3 day festival with something for everyone. It is sponsored by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and runs every Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend (Saturday, Sunday & Monday). It is

Just a heads up that the first multi-property luxury home auction in Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach is coming. Premiere Estates Auction Company has co listed 5 new homes (potentially more) with several local brokers. The addresses will be released later this week. As President of Premiere Estates Auction Company, I am often asked the question- Why auction? Well, that depends on whether you are asking from a seller's perspective or a buyer's perspective. Lets start with sellers. When sellers choose to auction their property they choose to do so for several reasons. One reason is that they want their property sold by a

south bay: Tweetin & twittering . . . not a Sunday morning bird song - 10/19/08 02:39 PM
Joined a new social networking site, which, I'm sure many of you have heard of: www.Twitter.com. Wasn't sure really what to do with it, but my Marketing Director strongly advised that I get with the program and start tweetin'. So I did. Signed on. Got stuck at first. Didn't know how to create a network. Then started searching for people I might be interested following. It actually is very easy once you get the hang of it. Searched by city name first, just to see who in my neighborhood is into this kind of thing. Funny thing happened; started seeing cool
