For all the apprentices in Project Blogger...I couldn't resist my own ghost story... In Florida, Realtors are required to disclose anything that "materially affects the property". We ask Sellers to complete, and sign, a very thorough questionnaire about everything from survey and drainage issues, plumbing, electrical, roof, zoning...everything "material" to the property. Today, the Florida Senate passed a tax-cut plan that would cut the average tax bill....by a mere pittance. The new system would increase homestead exemptions, giving homeowners a 75 percent write-off on their first $200,000 in market-based ‘'just value'' and an additional 15 percent write-off on the next $300,000. I recently sold a home that had two adorable golden retrievers. Let's call them "Muffy" and "Molly"...They happily greeted us at the door, along with their owners...and the odor!
