Short Sale Homes in Lindenhurst that were listed in 2009, increase by 450% compared to 2008.
As of May 31st, 2010, 36 homes in Lindenhurst were listed as short sales. There were 26 new short sales listings as of April 30th, 2010
33 short sale homes were listed in 2009. Lindenhurst in May 2010 has surpassed the number of short sale listings compared to 2009. The short sale real estate market is not over by a long shot.

This is sad. We go every year and it's not going to happen this year.
I guess we shouldn't be surprised considering New York State supposedly came close to shutting down. It's been a tradition for many Long Islanders and as I was searching on Google for other July 4th events, there were hardly any.
Gov. David A. Paterson tried to revive the show on Monday 6/14/10, a month after its cancellation for money and staffing problems.

Yesterday we decided to go to Jones Beach to see the Humpback Whale that washed up on shore Thursday. We get to the toll booth and hubby handed the clerk $10 for parking. As she took the money she informed us that the whale was removed. Ok, so now we need to put that $10 to good use.
Only took a few pics since my batteries died. We still had fun and hubby looks like he's wanting to go to the "other side"

Customer Service Blunder: Don't Talk To The Customers! My favorite store to shop in is Marshalls. The customer service employees are very nice and helpful every time I'm there. The other day I brought my purchases up to the register and the woman helping me asked me how I'm doing and I her. As we are chatting, she's ringing up my order. An Albertson homeowner says a man showed up at her home yesterday and told her he was putting up a neighbor's fence and needed to check her property line. Then, she says, he offered her $50 to buy stones in her backyard.

Animals Can Have Fears Just Like Humans We got our dog Kyra as a rescue puppy at 10 weeks old. She and 2 of her siblings were abandoned at a feral cat colony in the middle of December of 2008. 2008 was a great year wasn't it?
Sold prices dropped 13.24% in 2009 compared to 2008.
The Average Sold Price from January Thru April 2010 was $461,459 so that is a 3.25% decrease compared to the end of May 2010. This doesn't mean that Babylon is in a downward spiral. This is a month by month reporting. Here is the chart for period ending April 2010:
