West Babylon NY Sold Homes Analysis 1/1/10 - 10/31/10 15 homes sold in West Babylon for the month of October 2010. There were no short sales and 1 REO property sold. The REO sold for $112,000 but needs a ton of work! It was on the market for 45 days. Good. We need these properties to move. Once it's fixed up, it will sell for what other homes in the area are selling for. The highest priced home sold for $550,000 and was on the market for 90 days. It is new construction.

Last month, 1 new short sale home was listed in West Babylon NY and none sold. I am hoping by the end of the year, more short sale homes will close in West Babylon NY. Maybe the banks will want to get the short sales of their books by December 31st, 2010.

Out of the 7 newly listed homes last week, 1 is a short sale on Essex street with a listing price of $190,000. The average listing price for all 7 is $343,394 with an average of $9,827 for property taxes.
The 3 homes currently under contract are all regular resales. No short sales or REO properties. Average listing price: $342,633 with an average of $10,053 for property taxes.
