Attending Open Houses is somewhat like comparison shopping. Viewing homes and condos on the internet provide viewers with a quick overview of a property, but it is hard to get the full picture or ambiance of a place by only looking on the internet. In today's economy and with the current price of gasoline, it's a great place to start. A Buyer can cover a lot of ground on the internet that might take days of looking by car. Once a Buyer has narrowed down their focus to a particular area, price range, and a few other features they would like to have, it's time to contact an agent and start looking in person. Be sure and give the agent you select plenty of lead time to make the arrangements for your showings. I would suggest only trying to look at 4 or 5 in a day - otherwise it can become a little overwhelming and hard to remember which location had which features, so be sure and take notes. Don't get discouraged if you don't find your dream home on the first outing. In fact, you may find that what you thought you wanted may not be a good fit for your present lifestyle. Keep track of your likes and dislikes - weigh them and set priorities. Another way for a Buyer to check out listings in person is attending Open Houses. For instance, if you go onto a internet site like www.Windermere.com and put in the specific area, price, etc. you are looking for, the posted Open Houses will pop up on the map. Be sure and indicate that you are looking for Open Houses on a specific day or weekend. By the way, if you happen to be in the market for a condo and a more relaxed lifestyle in a small community that offers 24/7 Security patrol, a 27 hole public golf course and a community lake for fishing, you might want to stop by my OPEN HOUSE this Sunday, the 14th, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. L33 is located in GlenAllyn Condominiums in LakeLand Village - Allyn,WA 98524. This condo has great style and is priced to sell.

More snow! What a winter for that white stuff falling from the sky. Here in Allyn, today's snow looks more like what is normal around here - it will snow all day and by tonight there won't be any on the ground. Yes, I can sit here at my desk at the…

What the heck is non-meme anyway? I had been flagged and tagged. I was concerned. I asked Valerie what this was all about and she re-assured me that it was nothing serious, only a game. The object of the game is to select a book, and copy text from…

What's there to do? A question heard over and over. Before moving to a new area or even after having lived in an area for awhile, you might ask this question. If you enjoy music and the arts, I would suggest checking out Collective Visions Gallery…
From my soapbox - It's Alive!
Jackie Bush-Turner ~ LakeLand Village Residential & Condo Specialist (Windermere Peninsula Properties)
With Halloween only a week away, you may think I'm referring to Frankenstein rising from the dead. But no, I'm talking about the American Dream. The Dream of owning your own home. It's a concept that needs a jolt of reality to bring it back from the…
