geauga: Land in Ashtabula, Lake or Geauga County is STILL a Terrific Investment! - 08/08/10 06:12 PM
Land in Northeastern Ohio is still a great investment. Not only does land appreciate in value, it can also offer other revenues in the form of royalties from gas and/or oil production. An oil or gas lease is a lease giving the lessee the right to extract oil and gas from the land. Similar to a mining lease rather than a land lease, in that the lessee has ownership interest in a portion of the property ( oil and gas ) rather than just the use of the property. The lessor is usually paid based on the oil and gas taken. What are royalties (0 comments)

Please define mineral rights? Minerals-- In Real Estate terms, those minerals of value which may be taken by mining, such as coal, iron, copper, gold, silver, etc Mineral rights as well as oil rights, may be sold or leased separately from the land itself. The ownership of the minerals (coal, gold, iron, etc.) under the ground with or without ownership of the surface of the land is known as mineral rights. geauga: Timing is Everything in Ashtabula, Geauga, or Lake County- Provided by Jackie Stewart- Prudential Select Properties - 12/15/09 07:36 PM
First-time homebuyers dominated the U.S. real estate market in 2009, accounting for roughly half of all residential transaction, according to the National Association of REALTORS®.
