I've been providing more and more FHA loans over conforming lately.  It's really not too surprising.  FHA pricing has been very competitive with both rates and mortgage insurance-especially if your credit score is below 740 and if you don't have 20% for a down payment.   FHA mortgages can go up to 97% loan to value (3% down) on purchases.

Puyallup August Real Estate Market Update - 08/15/08 10:28 AM
July statistics just released by the NWMLS show less than a 1% increase in the number of Active homes for sale, and less than a 1% decrease in the number of homes Sold, from June to July. This gives us more than a 10 month supply of homes (4-6 months being a balanced market). Just 102 homes Sold in the month of July, which is a 42% decrease YTD. The Median Home Price rose to $264k, representing an 8.3% decrease in YTD appreciation.

Pierce County August Real Estate Market Update - 08/15/08 10:22 AM
July statistics just released by the NWMLS show a 2.7% increase in the number of Active homes for sale, and an 11.7% decrease in the number of homes Sold, from June to July. This gives us more than a 10 month supply of homes (4-6 months being a balanced market). Just 688 homes Sold in the month of July, which is a 31% decrease YTD. The Median Home Price dropped to $260k, representing an 11.5% decrease in YTD appreciation.

Bee Boppin’ Bugs Concert with Nancy Stewart at the Puyallup Public Library - 08/14/08 03:05 PM

The "Bee Boppin' Bugs Concert" at the Puyallup Public Library on Friday, August 15th at 3pm is a free concert starring Nancy Stewart, and is part of the 2008 Summer Reading Program. Children between the ages of 0 and 12 years old are encouraged to "Catch the Reading Bug!" this summer. Every child who reads (or is read to) 10 hours or more this summer will get a free book and a ticket to Northwest Trek/Pt. Defiance Zoo & Aquarium and other goodies.

Chalk the Walk in Puyallup - 08/05/08 06:44 PM

Kids of all ages are invited to the Puyallup Public Library in downtown Puyallup this Saturday from 10am until noon to "chalk the walk" with their doodles and drawings. There will be several artists on hand to help them out. This event is free and chalk will also be provided.
