It’s no secret anymore that health insurance rates for women can be significantly higher than men, especially in the age range of 19-55. Health insurers have been given reasons for this for years, and it has gone relatively unquestioned by professionals until recently. It’s become clear that the high rates to women are in significant disproportion with high rates to men. Women are charged anywhere from 25-50 percent more for health insurance than men.
