Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a non-profit organization with a mission to restore and preserve our marine environment through leadership in education, research, and the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of marine life.  National fame came to the Aquarium with the release of the movie Dolphin Tale, inspired by the true story of Winter, a young dolphin who was rescued off the Florida coast after becoming entangled in a crab trap line.  Winter lost her tail and was delivered to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.  The aquarium staff worked diligently to save Winter's life and assist in her rehabilitation.

New Deli in Tierra Verde, Florida - Phila Deli - 06/09/12 03:24 PM
Tierra Verde has a new deli, Phila Deli, which, of course, specializes in Philadelphia Cheesesteak sandwiches, made to order. Each delicious sandwich is served on a 12 inch Amoroso roll.  Other meal options are also available.  Breakfast is also a specialty with numerous options.  Open every day except Tuesday which is "gone fishing day".  It's easy to find in "downtown" Tierra Verde.  See menu below.

The New Pinellas Bayway Bridge - St Petersburg/St Pete Beach - Florida - 06/09/12 02:25 PM
The new Pinellas Bayway Bridge is under construction with an expected completion date in the Fall of 2014.  The current work is to construct the eastbound bridge which is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2013.  Once this section is completed, all traffic will be diverted to the new span while the westbound lanes are built.  The final bridge will be a four-lane, high level 65 foot high, fixed span bridge.
