Not to say that I never have done it you know I have.  I think everyone has done this in one way or the other.  There are of course those types of jobs where you do not have the opportunity to do this.  My wife for example when she was working for a large place there were just too many eyes for her to accomplish this.  The meaning of (e kum’bent) lying down.  So did you ever lie down on the job and maybe grab you a few quick z’s?  As my AR friend Michael would say inquiring minds want … (10 comments)

Don’t know about you but I have one certain words.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again when you say a word in English it can have several meanings.  Do you ever wonder how they came by the meaning and pronunciation not only of the English language but all languages?  If so join the crowd.  Now for the meaning of (et’e mal’ e je) the origin and development of a word.  The branch of linguistics dealing with word origin and development.   Now go out and have a good day and use the word in a sentence.

fayetteville arkansas real estate: After getting the listing do you “limn” it? - 02/08/11 10:19 PM

OK do I have you on this one?  It took me by surprise and I thought why not use this on in a post.  I have a partner who is very good at doing this.  She does this in a way I would not have but that’s her strength and I do not question her about it.  The meaning of (lim) to portray in words; describe.  She can describe in one sentence what it would take me a paragraph to do.

fayetteville arkansas real estate: How many agents expect “knell”? - 02/07/11 11:52 PM

I when I was working at my former agency knew of an agent that was terrified of this.  This agent would write a listing contract or be working with a buyer and ask several other agents to look over the contract.  I would expect this for the first two maybe three times but after that if you don’t have it you just don’t.  Maybe you need to seek another line of employment.  Anyway the meaning of (nel) an omen of death or failure.  So the death would be that of your business and this agent was terrified of failure.  Death … (4 comments)

OK I must admit I do not do this.  In fact I can’t remember but once even trying to find this.  So tell me do you look for this when you go and try to get the listing?  I know I have kept mine at my home.  Sometimes when an offer comes in the buyers will ask for this.  So the meaning of (de lim’it) to fix the limits of: mark the boundaries.  For this blog I’m referring to the limits of the property.

fayetteville arkansas real estate: How long do you “cogitate” before you speak or write that contract? - 02/05/11 10:54 PM

I pretty much know what I’m going to do as far as a contract goes.  Now opening my mouth and inserting my foot is another thing.  I never have been able not to spit out what I think and sometimes it does me good and sometimes not so good.  As I age I have earned to think about it before I speak but now for the meaning of (kaj’e tat) to think seriously and deeply; ponder; consider.  So tell me do you think before you speak or write that contract?

fayetteville arkansas real estate: Make your contracts “indubitable”. - 02/04/11 10:38 PM
While I think we all strive to obtain this and most of us do there are some that just don't seem to get it.  They go off in their own little world and won't worry about it until they are under investigation by the Real Estate Commission.  I try and keep those people at arm's length if not a mile away.  The meaning of (in doo' bi te bel) that cannot be doubted; unquestionable.  Keep your contracts where there is no question about them and be safe.

fayetteville arkansas real estate: Problems please give me more. - 02/03/11 11:08 PM

I just finished reading a book and in one of the chapters it dealt with problems.  While I’m not really a fan of problems after reading the section I want more.  We all run into problems from day to day and if you’re still in the business you have overcome them.  Don’t like problems then stay at home.  The only people who don’t have any problems (for the present) are people in the cemetery on a permanent basis.  Since I’m in no hurry to join those people give me problems.

Before you go getting up in arms been there done that so now that is out of the way here we go. If you make an error do you blame someone else? On the other hand if all goes well do you take credit for the accomplishment? If you are willing to blame someone else when it goes to hell in a hand basket why take the credit when all goes well? Blame yourself when it goes bad and sleep well at night. This society is always looking for a scapegoat when it goes downhill and then stand up on a … (11 comments)

fayetteville arkansas real estate: Living to be 100 - 02/01/11 01:21 AM

As I age it seems only yesterday when I was 16 and 18 how I wished and hoped that I would turn 21.  Now looking back it seems only yesterday I was 21 and how I would enjoy going back and turning some of the dumb things I’ve done around.  But anyway a person was asked what the most memorable thing about turning 100 was and without hesitation the person replied “I have outlived all of my enemies”.  I guess that’s one way of looking at it.
